READY TO FLY - NEWSLETTER LTR WA N°2

Édito

Dear colleagues,

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a pleasant, pious and blessed Lent and Ramadan for the spiritual good of each and every one of us.

We are now well into the first quarter. Although the results are encouraging, they are still far from the targets we have set ourselves. I therefore urge you to continue your relentless efforts and show determination to correct the trajectory of this first quarter and thus help consolidate our chances of achieving our annual targets. I am counting on you.

In the second issue of our READY TO FLY newsletter, you will see confirmation that we have started the year on a high note with two prestigious awards.

These accolades are testament to our ongoing commitment to excellence and reinforce our position as a leader in our field.

Our past successes are a source of inspiration, but it is our commitment to continuous operational excellence that will enable us to realise our full potential.

As we enter the second quarter of the year, I invite you to remain committed, motivated and determined to pursue our mission of providing exceptional experiences to our customers and achieving our strategic objectives.

I am confident that with our collective determination, we will achieve great things in the months ahead.

Thank you again for your unwavering commitment.

May this holy season be an opportunity to strengthen our bonds, share precious moments with our families, and express our generosity towards those in need.

Sountou BOUSSO, CEO Lagardère Travel Retail Western Africa

ACI Africa in Cairo

ACI Africa in Cairo

In February, Lagardère Travel Retail participated in the ACI conference in Cairo. Mr Sountou BOUSSO, CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail West Africa, shared his views on the challenges and opportunities of non-aeronautical revenue in African airports.

Increasing revenue through non-aeronautical revenue is essential for airports, and Lagardère Travel Retail is leading the way by leveraging these opportunities to strengthen airport resilience. Our three-business model not only diversifies revenue streams, but also enhances the passenger experience and drives innovation.

To the rhythm of the CAN

During the first two months of the year, the continent experienced the excitement of its most important sporting competition. To mark the occasion, our sites in Senegal, Mauritania, Gambia and Gabon were decorated in the colours of the event. Numerous activities were organised with some of our partners to delight our customers at Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD) in Diass. An internal prediction game was launched for employees.

The Africa Cup of Nations ended with a victory for Côte d'Ivoire, which also hosted this wonderful competition (CAN of hospitality).

Winner of two awards at the 3rd edition of the LAS Awards

During the first week of March, we participated in the 3rd edition of the LAS AWARDS, held at the Abdou Diouf International Conference Centre (CICAD) in Diamniadio, Dakar.

We came away with the award for best technological innovation initiative and best environmental initiatives.

This prestigious event is a unique opportunity to celebrate excellence by highlighting the contributions of the various organisations that make Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD) in Diass a benchmark platform.

We were recognised for introducing the first self-service check-in kiosks in Africa, which offer a world-class customer experience in line with the best practices of the largest airport platforms.

We were also recognised for our commitment to operating innovative and environmentally friendly businesses. Our environmental initiatives through our PEPS programme, which has been uniformly adopted across all our operations, reflect the realisation of our vision.

8 March celebrations

On 8 March, we celebrated the women in our company at our various sites. It was another opportunity for them to reflect and discuss the topic of "mental health in the workplace" in a festive setting.

To this end, we invited Dr. Ismahan Soukeyna Diop (Doctor of Clinical Psychology, Cheikh Anta Diop University/Dakar International Cancer Centre) to raise awareness of this issue through a conference held at our headquarters.

This conference was broadcast live to enable employees in other countries and those who were unable to travel to follow it remotely.

On 8 March and every day, let us recognise that equal opportunities and mutual respect are essential to fostering a professional environment where everyone can flourish and succeed.

Creation of the CSR Committee at LTR Senegal

Since 2023, Lagardere Travel Retail Senegal has been supported by RSE Sénégal with the aim of better structuring our CSR actions locally through training and the implementation of structural projects.

The Materiality Committee completed its training on Monday 18 March 2024 and, to this end, Mr Sountou BOUSSO, in his capacity as CEO, has set up the LTR Senegal CSR Committee, which is responsible for working on the implementation of approved projects.

A real collaborative effort lies ahead, and everyone's help is important for the success of the missions entrusted to this CSR Committee.

We wish them the best of luck!

You will find more details in a memo that will be sent to you in the coming days.
